Terms, Privacy & Risk
Last updated: · This page summarises our current policies. The definitive version of each document will be linked here upon publication.
1. Terms of Service
Vaulteller is a software platform that provides a programmable user interface — an execution terminal — for routing capital into decentralised finance (DeFi) protocols. Vaulteller never accepts deposits, never holds client assets and never manages portfolios. By accessing the software you agree to the following principles:
- ◆Vaulteller acts as a technology provider and software interface, not as a bank, broker, exchange, investment fund or financial intermediary, and takes no investment decisions on your behalf.
- ◆You are responsible for the legality of using the platform in your jurisdiction and for your own tax obligations.
- ◆On the self-custody route (BYOK) you alone control your private keys; lost keys cannot be recovered by Vaulteller or by anyone else.
- ◆Subscriptions (Architect, Sovereign) are a software licensing fee billed monthly and processed by Stripe as Merchant of Record; the fee grants access to the premium interface and automated smart-contract execution tools — it is not an investment and may be cancelled at the end of any billing period.
2. Privacy Policy
Vaulteller is built around data minimisation. Our current practice:
- ◆Language preference is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and is never transmitted to our servers.
- ◆The landing page sets no tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics.
- ◆Personal data submitted through forms (e.g. Pilot Programme applications) is processed solely to respond to your request and is never sold or shared with third parties.
- ◆On-chain activity performed through public protocols is visible on the blockchain by design; we advise using self-custody tiers for maximum privacy.
For GDPR access, correction or deletion requests, contact the operator directly at info@arcanode.io (see Operator & Contact).
3. Risk Disclosure
Cryptocurrency and DeFi investments carry significant risk and you may lose some or all of your capital. Key risks include:
- ◆Smart-contract risk — protocols can contain exploits despite audits; Vaulteller routes through audited, battle-tested protocols (e.g. Aave, Uniswap, Alchemix) but cannot eliminate this risk.
- ◆Market & yield risk — asset values and protocol yields fluctuate; Vaulteller does not generate yield, and every published APY figure is the historical performance of underlying third-party protocols, never a guarantee.
- ◆Stablecoin, EMI & bridge risk — pegged and bridged assets (EURC, EURe, WBTC, USOL) and the fiat rail (Monerium, a licensed third-party EMI) depend on the solvency and integrity of their issuers, custodians and bridges.
- ◆Regulatory risk — changing regulation may affect the availability of strategies or the platform in your jurisdiction.
Never route capital you cannot afford to lose. Nothing on this site constitutes financial advice; consult a licensed advisor in your jurisdiction before executing on-chain.
4. Regulatory Position
Vaulteller operates strictly as a software provider and user interface (an execution terminal). It is not a financial intermediary, not a broker, not a bank, not a payment institution and not an investment fund (AIF) under EU or Italian law:
- ◆Vaulteller charges a software licensing fee via Stripe (Merchant of Record) and never touches user liquidity. At no point does Vaulteller receive, hold, custody or control your funds — there is no deposit-taking, in any form.
- ◆User capital is handled exclusively via (A) Monerium — a licensed third-party EMI that mints EURe directly to the smart contract from your bank account — or (B) your own self-custody wallet (BYOK — Ledger, Trezor or any Web3 wallet). Vaulteller is a highway, not a vault.
- ◆We provide no individualised financial advice and no discretionary portfolio management; execution strategies are selected entirely by you via the risk profile and Curated Index, and every transaction is authorised by you through publicly auditable smart contracts.
Vaulteller's fee income is limited to software subscriptions. Regulatory status may evolve as EU frameworks (e.g. MiCA) mature. Material changes will be announced on this page.
5. Metrics & Methodology
The landing page displays historical, indicative metrics — historical protocol APY, number of active execution strategies and capital routed — as of the date shown. Our reporting principles:
- ◆APY figures reflect the past performance of the underlying third-party protocols the terminal routes through (e.g. Aave) — never of Vaulteller itself; they are rounded for display and updated periodically.
- ◆Figures are never forecasts and never guaranteed; past performance does not predict future returns.
- ◆The illustrative ranges quoted for the Pilot Programme are hypothetical scenarios derived from the historical performance of underlying third-party protocols — not targets, not forecasts and not contractual commitments.
- ◆Comparisons with traditional bank deposits use publicly available indicative deposit rates and are provided for context only.
Questions about how a figure is calculated can be directed to info@arcanode.io.
6. Operator & Contact
Vaulteller is operated by:
- ◆Legal entity: Arcanode
- ◆Location: Lucca, Italy
- ◆Contact: info@arcanode.io
All contractual relationships, data-protection requests and notices concerning the platform are addressed to the operator at the email above.
